Meet Chris Tofte, a member of the Kaminario Managed Service Provider team. Coming from the Inside Sales team with heavy customer engagement, Chris brings a unique perspective to assist Kaminario in creating and executing a new strategic development model.
A bit about yourself and your role
Kaminario has always believed in its team and has a great track record of leveraging its talent with internal promotions. My role has been to marry the structured business approach and methodology of the MSP market with our new cloud initiative.
What motivates you to get out of bed and come into work every morning?
Every morning, I show up representing the best technology on the market with a unique ability to introduce a revolutionary model. It’s a very exciting time to be at Kaminario with so much buzz – not only around our product, but also for our future initiatives.
Our CEO Dani Golan has instilled a culture of accountability and dedication in our products and business. Kaminario has always looked to the future to constantly be ahead of the game, and that mindset is found throughout the company.
Tell us about your hobbies. What are three hashtags you’d use to describe yourself?

Since injuring my knee I’ve moved on from professional rugby, but fitness and a healthy lifestyle are still very important to me. I’m no longer competitive on the pitch, but whether we’re hiking Tuckerman Ravine in the White Mountains of New Hampshire or hitting weights in the gym, it’s bound to become a competition.
Away from work, you can find me catching up with friends and taking time to enjoy nature with my dog Jaxyboy!
As a kid, I was a huge Marvel fan and my favorite mutant was always Nightcrawler. The ability to teleport and disappear and then reappear somewhere else would be my sought-after superpower. After a closed deal you’d find me teleporting to the beach with a drink in hand, catching some rays!
Can you tell us about your team, and how you work together to overcome challenging situations?
Everyone knows the storage market is extremely competitive and historically dominated by corporate giants. We’ve earned the crown of industry leaders, yet we’re still closing business as the underdog. The obstacles we face range far and wide, and I couldn’t be happier to be on a team that embraces adversity and meets the challenge head on. We’ve learned that communication is key…whether its team members sharing success stories, or brining in subject matter experts to help with specific questions and issues.
