Great employees are key to a company’s success. People who bring innovative ideas to the table, who have the drive to succeed, and who have a sense of fun and comradery ultimately contribute to a company’s achievement. At Kaminario, we treat our employees like they are part of our family. We cheer on each other’s successes. We’re there to lend a hand in times of need. And we stand together behind a product we believe in. In this blog series, we’ll introduce you to members of the #KamFam.
Eric Rendon, Enterprise Sales Rep
With the American football season in full swing, Eric Rendon compares his role at Kaminario to the quarterback of the team: “As an Enterprise Sales Rep (ESR), I am part of the go-to-market team. I work closely with our inside sales rep, solution architect, professional services engineer, and channel manager to deliver business outcomes for customers.”
Eric is currently responsible for customers based in Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona. He considers his day-to-day to be a balancing act. “You have to juggle customer meetings, partner meetings, alliance partner meetings, and internal meetings – all while running multiple active sales campaigns.” One day could be dedicated to prospecting and building pipeline while the next could be dedicated to being on-site with a customer, spreading the Kaminario story. “Being organized and having great time management skills is critical for an ESR,” Eric advises anyone interested in becoming an ESR.
Working at Kaminario
Eric has been part of the Kaminario family for the past four years. His favorite thing about working at Kaminario is his ability to have an impact on the organization and not just be “another rep”. “As an ESR, you can drive change and bring tremendous business value to customers. Kaminario has some of the best technology in the market today. Being at the forefront of the next generation of the data infrastructure paradigm is extremely exciting.”
Having the support of the rest of the organization makes the path to success smooth. “Kaminario leadership is very open and honest. They give you all the resources you need to be successful. As much as we have grown over the last four years, we still have that family-like culture.”
“The success of the company depends on the go-to-market team,” Eric explains. “That pressure is what drives a great ESR. The team is always willing and eager to help in any capacity necessary – especially my direct leader, Carl Woolley. From the CEO on down, if you need help, you’re going to get it at Kaminario.”
On a Personal Note…
When not at work, Eric takes advantage of the great outdoor activities that his home state of Colorado offers, including skiing, hiking, fly-fishing, and golf. He also spends plenty of time with his two young daughters (ages 8 and 6). “They definitely keep me entertained and busy on the weekends!”
