The Kaminario K2 VSS driver allows Microsoft users to automatically create application consistent snapshots using K2’s native array-based snapshot feature and Microsoft’s Volume Shadow Copy Service. The redirect-on-write snapshots are stored locally on the K2 and can also be replicated to a remote K2 site to achieve application consistent copies for disaster recovery purposes.
