Director of EMEA Presales
Chris Buckel is Director of Presales for EMEA and a technology evangelist for Kaminario. He brings deep application expertise with experience as a database administrator and architect for SaaS companies as well as extensive experience in the flash storage space. Prior to joining Kaminario, he held various consulting and technical sales at Violin Memory, most recently as head of EMEA Solutions Architecture. Previously, he was the Exadata team lead for Oracle in the UK and has held positions at companies including CTSpace, Logica, and CMG.
As one of only a few hundred Oracle Certified Masters worldwide, Chris enjoys being involved with the Oracle community and maintains a popular blog http://flashdba.com which aims to enlighten database users to the benefits of flash storage.
VP of Business Development
Eyal David has 12 years of experience in the enterprise system and application arena. Eyal is responsible for Business Development for Kaminario. Eyal was Director of Solutions at Kaminario. Prior to Kaminario Eyal led the advanced algorithms group for a large enterprise. Eyal holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from The Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya.
CTO, North America
Marty Sanders is Kaminario’s CTO for North America. He brings extensive sales, business development, and technology experience to the Kaminario team. Prior to Kaminario, Marty was Executive Director for Technology and Services at Dell, having joined through Dell’s acquisition of Compellent where he was Vice President of Technology Services. Prior to Compellent, Marty held various senior sales and technology positions at Xiotech, Computer Network Technologies and Triad Systems.
VP of North America Sales
As Vice-President of North American Sales, Ken Dougherty is responsible for direct and indirect sales at Kaminario. With 20-plus years of experience leading sales at both emerging technology and large complex organizations, Ken is a seasoned sales executive who excels at building high performance sales teams and driving significant revenue growth. Ken has held sales leadership roles at storage and enterprise software companies such as Hewlett Packard, Computer Associates, Compellent and Sun Microsystems.
Most recently at HP, Ken led the HP Big Data sales organization for the Eastern U.S. and Canadian markets leading his team to double digit growth and consistently overachieving sales goals throughout his six year tenure. In 2011 Ken received the prestigious “Global Sales Leader of the Year Award” at HP as the top sales leader at HP for the $40 Billion Enterprise Group Business Unit. Prior to HP, as Vice-President of the Eastern and Canadian Region at Compellent he played a critical role in establishing new markets and delivering triple digit revenue growth. Ken began his sales career at StorageTek where he led sales organizations there and then later, through acquisition, at Sun Microsystems.
VP of Global Marketing
Josh Epstein has 20 years experience in technology marketing and strategy roles. At Kaminario, Josh is responsible for developing the company’s brand, driving global marketing programs, and telling the Kaminario story.
Prior to Kaminario, he has held a range of marketing, strategy and business development roles at startups including Reddo Mobility, Gizmox, and Advanced Electron Beams as well as global technology companies including EMC, CA Technologies, Acme Packet, and Oracle. Additionally, Josh is an active advisor to several early-stage, Boston-area technology companies. He holds a B.S. in Operations Research from Cornell and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Chief Financial Officer
Regev joins the Kaminario team with a successful 25-year track record as a Finance Executive for various technology firms.
Prior to joining Kaminario, Regev assumed the position of CFO at Gemini Ventures; there he was a member of the Investment Committee and a Board Member at 2 portfolio companies: Eyeview Inc and Takadu Ltd.
Prior to joining Gemini Ventures, Regev lived in the Bay Area for 11 years where he worked as a CFO for various privately held and publicly traded companies namely Chegg.com (CHGG), NetManage Inc (NETM, acquired by MicroFocus) and PortAuthority Technologies (acquired by Websense).
Founder & CEO
Dani Golan oversees strategy, go-to-market and overall company operations. Previously, Dani served as President and General Manager of Performix Technologies, acquired by NICE Systems in 2006. Prior to Performix, Dani was an executive responsible for leading new ventures at EMC. Dani holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from the Technion Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Prior to his professional career, Dani served as a fighter pilot and an officer in the Israeli Air Force.
Chief Operating Officer
As chief operating officer, Itay Shoshani is responsible for Kaminario's worldwide sales and company operations. Itay is charged with ensuring every customer interaction is optimized for success - from inception to professional services, fulfillment and customer support - with Kaminario all-flash storage solutions. Prior to coming to Kaminario, Itay served 10 years with Unisys EMEA in a variety of customer facing positions, such as managing enterprise consolidation and professional services projects as well as enterprise infrastructure architect. Itay also served in leadership roles at startups such as ibetcha and omninetworks, as well as large enterprises such as ELAL.
VP of Field Engineering
Eyal Markovich leads the System Engineering, PS and the Performance teams at Kaminario. Eyal is a one of the industry's foremost experts in application and storage performance. His past experience in tuning hundreds of customer's environments gives him a unique expertise in performance management. Prior to Kaminario, Eyal had various management positions at Veritas and Symantec where he was Director of Product line development as well as Director of System Engineering. Eyal holds B.Sc. in computer science and Economics from Tel Aviv University.
Chief Technology Officer
Shachar Fienblit has over 15 years of experience in leading enterprise development organizations in both managerial and technical capacities. Shachar is responsible for Kaminario's technology leadership with focus on research, technology strategy, technological partnership opportunities and strategic roadmap for future growth. Prior to the CTO role, Shachar was Kaminario's VP of Engineering and was responsible for building Kaminario's leading K2 all-flash array. Prior to Kaminario, Shachar held various leadership positions at IBM's storage division, where he was responsible for architecture, definition, design and development of several enterprise storage products. Shachar was an architect of advanced copy functions for IBM's DS family of storage products and the leading architect in IBM Haifa storage development lab. Shachar holds a B.Sc. in computer science from Haifa University, and holds over 50 patents in the areas of computer system, disaster recovery and reliable data storage design.
VP of North American Channels
Rick Ruskin is a technology industry sales veteran with nearly 30 years experience leading high performance sales and channel organizations. At Kaminario, Rick is responsible for North American channel sales, managing an organization focused on developing our channel ecosystem and driving revenues through the channel. Rick has held senior sales and channel roles at companies including Storiant, VDX, Virtera (acquired by Glasshouse), MTI, and Storability.
VP of Human Capital
Oren Israelson is a seasoned human resources executive, with over 10 years of experience leading startups and large global enterprises. Prior to joining Kaminario, Oren held executive positions at Amdocs, Delta Galil Industries and Intel, where he drove the strategy, development and processes to support organizational talent. He was CEO of Divisional HR Executives where he led executive teams in startups and larger organizations through strategic planning to profitability at all stages of their lifecycle.
VP of Engineering
Adik Sokolovski brings more than 15 years of experience working in the enterprise software industry, leading multiple SW development groups. Adik is responsible for research, development and quality assurance of Kaminario's products. Adik has previously worked for a range of well-regarded companies including AGT, IBM, Neustar and Amdocs.
In his last role at AGT Adik was VP of R&D, managing global R&D groups delivering products in the areas of critical infrastructure security, emergency management and law enforcement. Prior to AGT, Adik worked for IBM where he managed a global development team contributing to the IBM Tivoli Storage Management product. Adik holds a B.A. in information systems and business management (graduated with honors) from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC).
VP and General Manager, International
Mick Bradley brings deep technology sales expertise with at both established global businesses and high growth start-ups. At Kaminario, Mick is responsible for developing the EMEA and APAC markets. Prior to joining Kaminario he was the EMEA Managing Director at Violin Memory, Senior Director of EMEA Storage Consulting at Hewlett Packard, Chief Operating Officer at CopperEye and Senior Vice President of Global Services at COPAN Systems. He also held several senior management positions at Pillar Data Systems, EMC Corporation and Electronic Data Systems.
Doron Tal is a technology expert with responsibility for leading the architectural design of Kaminario's core K2 products. Doron joined Kaminario in 2008. Prior to joining Kaminario, Doron was at IBM Research Labs in Haifa where he conducted research in advanced document processing. Prior to IBM, Doron worked for Mellanox where he worked on the company's leading chip technology architecting and designing post silicon verification framework and tools. Doron holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from the Technion Institute.
Director of EMEA Channel Sales
Vince Blackall is Kaminario’s head of channel sales for EMEA where he is responsible for extending Kaminario’s ecosystem of partners to build market reach throughout Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He brings extensive experience with sales and channel development at leading storage technology companies including Pure Storage, Violin Memory, Dell, Commvault, and Veritas.
VP of Operations
Moshe Amir oversees all aspects of strategic business operations at Kaminario. Moshe has over 15 years of extensive experience in supply chain processes, manufacturing, service delivery processes and logistics. Prior to Kaminario, Moshe was Director of Operations at several Medical Devices companies. Moshe holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Technion, Israel.
VP of Product
Mark Shteiman has over 15 years of experience leading Product Management and Engineering teams in various enterprise technology segments. Mark is responsible for Kaminario's Product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle management from concept to phase out, making sure the company is building, shipping and supporting the right products. Mark previously worked for a range of well-regarded companies including AGT, Gigafone, Neustar and Followap, where he was in charge of Product strategy, design and development. Additionally, Mark founded and run his own company (Friendize.Me) in the Social E-commerce space. In his last role before Kaminario, Mark was Head of Product at AGT responsible for multiple product lines including Security, Intelligence and Analytics.
Mark holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Technion, Haifa.
